Al Qasr

Al Qasr, about 35 km from Mut, was originally a Roman settlement that later became the medieval capital of Dakhla. The old town is a labyrinth of mud-walled alleys narrowly separating houses with elaborately carved wooden lintels.

Al Qasr, which is under the protection of the Dept. of Heritages, is one of the many little villages, belonging to the Governorate of the Dakhla Oasis.
